About the Oasis Church Network

Oasis’s vision is for community - a place where everyone is included, making a contribution, and reaching their God-given potential.

We’ve been pioneering sustainable, holistic community development for 35 years. We work in many communities affected by inequality that impacts all areas of life. So we work in a joined-up way across our communities to create change – economically, socially, physically, spiritually; in education, housing, justice, health, youth, and family support; with people of all ages and in all situations.

As part of this work, in 2003 we became responsible for Christ Church & Upton Chapel, a central London church now known as Oasis Church Waterloo – a community of ordinary people exploring life together, where everyone is welcomed as we together explore how to be an example of what an inclusive community, living Christ’s way, looks and acts like.

In 2018 we launched Oasis Church Bath, sharing the same vision and ethos but working out that expression of Christ-centred community in its local context. Oasis Church Hull, our third gathered church community, joined us at the beginning of 2022, and Oasis Church Reading opened its doors at the end of 2023.

We’re excited about exploring further conversations. If you’re a church leader and would like to chat about becoming an Oasis church, click here for more.
