Join the Network

Are you a church committed to activism, inclusion and progressive theology?

If you’d like to chat to us about becoming an Oasis church, get in touch.

We're keen to partner with churches to help to build more Christ-centred communities around the UK where everyone can explore their God-given potential, live life to the full and encourage others in their neighbourhood to do the same. If that's you, we'd love to talk.

Why join? Oasis Church Waterloo

"We were the first Oasis church, and of all the varied queries that arrive in my inbox, the most common question I get asked is 'I don’t live near Waterloo – is there an Oasis church near me?' Over the last few years we've been delighted to be joined by Bath, Hull and Reading, allowing me to more frequently give a positive answer to that question.

"At times, beliefs like our commitment to equal marriage have caused us to be outsiders in some traditional church networks, so we're excited to be gathering together a group of like-minded people, all committed to an open, progressive theology, social justice, inclusion and meeting together in a style which is accessible to all. We believe we're stronger together, and that there's loads our churches can learn from each other. We'd love you to join us."

Why join? Oasis Church Bath

“We’ve enjoyed being part of something bigger, with a shared progressive theology, plus learning from and sharing resources/ideas with other church and community leaders that are part of Oasis.

"We’ve also benefitted from some of the practical things like the finance structure, training, HR, policies and procedures. Importantly, we’ve also been able to shape things locally so while we’re part of something bigger, there’s also total flexibility within the hub model for us to make it look however it needs to look in our context.”

Why join? Oasis Church Hull

“We were delighted to find a network that fits our inclusive theology and also shares our strong commitment to local community work. We got to know Oasis over a long period of time, and the relationships we developed helped us to make the decision, and those relationships have made everything work - peer support, sharing ideas, and help with things we didn’t know about!”

Why join? Our Reading community

The Oasis Church Network isn’t just for established congregations. Ben, Kathryn and others introduced themselves when they were looking to develop a small group in Reading. Over the last few years this vision has grown, and we’re about to launch Oasis Church Reading.

“Oasis have been so supportive to our forming community of hopeful wanderers who needed a safe and inclusive space to share a progressive theology and gather around some energising values. We love the health of the organisation and the way Oasis are so intentional about weaving the habits and values through everything – there is so much inspiration and integrity here and we’ve experienced first-hand the commitment to community transformation.

"Practically the national team staff have helped on a number of levels such as policies and procedures, training, governance, and sermon series inspiration! They’ve helped us put structure and traction to our dreams and we are excited to partner further as our church grows and impacts our local context.”

Lou Bissett, Hub Leader, Oasis Church Reading
